Water-polluting media can be stored safely and in an environmentally friendly manner in formoplast double-walled tanks made of polyethylene (PE-HD). Thanks to the integrated leakage monitoring system VSK (vacuum safety control), the PE-HD containers can be installed and operated without a drip tray in accordance with WHG specifications.
The interstitial space in the tank wall is constantly monitored by an approved leak detector. Pressure fluctuations are equalised within narrow tolerances by the vacuum pump. If the pressure rises as a result of a leak, an optical-acoustic alarm is triggered immediately.
Which fabrics can be filled?
All media can be stored in our PE100 containers in accordance with the DIBt media list 40-1.1.
Containers may also be used for the storage of other liquids if it is proven by an expert opinion to be determined by the DIBt that storage is possible.
What is the advantage of double-walled tanks?
Double-walled tanks with a vacuum safety contour do not require a separate drip tray.
Furthermore, VSK tanks are approved by the DIBt for installation in areas at risk from earthquakes.
Double-walled plastic tank with leakage monitoring for storing acids and alkalis
The audible alarm can only be switched off using a sealed switch. The visual alarm remains active until the damage is recognised.
For easy operation and monitoring, we can equip the PE-HD tanks with double walls with a walk-on work platform with railings and access ladder on request. In order to maintain the temperature in the container at a certain level, our chemical tanks are optionally equipped with an electric surface heater or a safety angled bath heater.
To save energy, the flat-bottom tanks are optionally insulated with PUR foam or mineral wool.
